This document relates to the scenario when your show is live from Studio A and you are inviting a remote guest
If you are in Studio A joining a live show via Remote Rivendell, see https://cambridge105.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/48001259802-handovers-live-show-on-remote-rivendell-with-handover-in-cleanfeed-to-studio-a
Cleanfeed Settings
Here is an overview of the mixing desk in Studio A.
Things to check are:
mAir Carts AUX 1 set to minimum - this is the most important one
Microphone channel AUX 1s set to about 9 o'clock - fine tune these based on the
Cleanfeed level meter. All other faders except mAir Carts should also be set at 9 o'clock.
- If an echo persists with those all set correctly, in Cleanfeed, click the cog next to "Dom Smith (Cambridge 105 Radio)" so the settings boxes appear underneath.
- Check "Telephony In (High Definition Audio Device)" is selected in the left-most dropdown.
- (Left Only and 0 are correct for the other two boxes, but these are less likely to have been changed!)
The Golden Rule:
- If the echo is heard at the guest's end, the problem is in the studio and these instructions will apply.
- If the echo is heard at the studio, the problem is at the guest's end and nothing here will help. The best you can do is o enable the 'No headphones' or 'Full repair' mode in Cleanfeed.
