For shows being played as voicetracked logs from Remote Rivendell, check:

  • For shows containing IRN within the show, create one log per clock hour. For shows without IRN in the middle, create one log for the whole show.
  • Name each log YYYY-MM-DD-HH-programme-id, e.g. 2023-04-10-13-rob-chipperfield.
  • Start each log with a `REMOTE RD ON AIR` cart, with a start time of xx:01:00 and a transition type of `STOP`.
  • The first audio cart in the log - either `C105R Local News` or an appropriate ident - must have a timed start of xx:02:01 and a transition type of `STOP`.
  • Further carts should have transition type of `SEGUE`.
  • Do not apply custom segue points (sliding tracks relative to each other) immediately following local news or adverts: the content length may change.
  • At the end of each log (not required for regular "daytime" logs), add a `HOLD FOR NEWS` cart with a timed start of xx:58:30 and a transition type of `SEGUE`.
  • For the last hour of the show, add a `REMOTE RD OFF AIR` cart with a timed start of xx:59:00.
  • The calendar entry should be marked as "TYPE:VT"

Special case: shows starting on the half hour:

  • For shows (or parts of shows) starting on the half hour, name that log HHMM, e.g. 2023-04-10-0930-rob-chipperfield.
  • If the show follows another presenter using Remote Rivendell (e.g. mid-morning following Cambridge Breakfast with Linda Ness):
    • Do not set any timed starts in that half hour. Set timed starts as usual for subsequent hours' logs.
    • Advise the preceding presenter they will need to load the log manually.
    • Agree with the preceding presenter whether the adverts between shows will be included in the log or not.
  • If the show does not follow another presenter using Remove Rivendell:
    • Add the `REMOTE RD ON AIR` cart with a timed start of xx:29:00
    • Add the first audio cart (e.g. `C105R Ad Sequence`) with a timed start of xx:30:00, and a transition type of `STOP`
    • Advise the preceding presenter the first cart will start at xx:30:00 studio time.
