The Cambridge 105 Radio Podcaster service allows you to upload your show to the station's Mixcloud account directly from our Record of Transmission.
This is normally appropriate for evening and weekend shows where copyrighted music is integral to the show. For daytime shows, you should edit out individual guest interviews from the surrounding show instead of uploading the whole show. Predominantly speech-based shows should have commercial music removed before being uploaded to our website directly.
You'll need to have permission enabled for you to use this service: ask Julian if you wish to do so.
Go to https://podcaster.cambridge105.co.uk. Log in using your single sign-on credentials - these are the same ones you use for accessing the RoT and Audio Uploader.
You'll see a list of shows that have previously been uploaded - normally, this will only be shows you're responsible for:
To upload a new show, click Upload in the navigation bar, and select the show you wish to upload from the drop-down list:
The title and description will be automatically populated using the details from our schedule pages. If you send over details of what's happening in your show before it's broadcast, you shouldn't need to repeat it here!
Edit the description if required, keeping it in the same style as our other schedule entries.
You can set a picture for the show by uploading using the "Browse..." button. Square images around 600x600px work best for Mixcloud.
If you've been given permission to approve your own shows, once you're happy, select the Approved for upload checkbox. If not, your submission will be reviewed by the editorial team before it's uploaded.
Click Submit, and your show will be queued for upload.
Once approved, it will take about 15 minutes to upload to Mixcloud, and a further 30 minutes before it appears on our public channel.
